The major rail services from London, Edinburgh Manchester and Birmingham all run via York or Hull.
A new direct service is now in operation between London and Hull with journey times of approximately 2 ½ hours.
Once at Hull or York the East Riding of Yorkshire is then easily accessible via Northern Rail network.
