Bridlington is proud to be hosting its first ever UK Kite Surfing Championships, one of seven that are held around the country, as part of the 2009 British Kite Surfing Grand Prix. This high paced adrenalin packed sport is guaranteed to provide great viewing for spectators of all ages and will utilise the fantastic natural stage of Bridlington’s South Cliff Beach.
The event, which is sponsored by Yorkshire Forward as part of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race activities, will run from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th September. Spectators will be able to come and enjoy the event free of charge. With demonstrations, games, have-a-go sessions, on-site catering and much, much more this is set to add another amazing coastal based sport to ey events ever increasing programme.
