The Winmau World Masters is the richest three-day tournament on terrestrial TV and is screened live on BBC Sports. Staged by the British Darts Organisation, the Winmau World Masters has been held in Bridlington since 2002 and is a true World Championship with players from seventy countries being invited, including darts champions from over 140 national and international events worldwide.
Approximately 300 players descend on Bridlington for the only major championship in world darts with four separate finals – Men, Women, Boys and Girls.
With a 2008 prize pot of £63,000 the title for the oldest established major in World Darts are coveted by darts players worldwide.
