East Yorkshire Classic Road Race

18th July 2010, Beverley and Yorkshire Wolds

The East Yorkshire Classic is the area’s premier cycle race and its history dates back to 1956.

Sunday 18th July will see riders line up for the East Yorkshire Classic, climbing steep hills and rolling countryside make this one of the toughest races of the series which finishes with laps around Beverley.

In 2006 the East Yorkshire Classic was the British National Road Race Championship. It was a huge success and incorporated the Women’s National Championships on the Saturday. In 2008 the road race again formed part of the season long Premier Calendar Series, one of 10 counting events. Feedback from both riders and team managers indicates that this is indeed one of the most popular races on the annual calendar.
